1976 subaru 4×4 outback?

what are these cars like i found one in my area for 1200 and its in pretty good running condition and just needs a paint job, i just cant seem to find any reviews or anything like that on them… if some one could answer with a link to some reviews or tell me some personal experience i would really appreciate it.. thanks
ok so far i have found out it has had all these things replaced very recently: entire engine rebuilt including new pistons, new clutch, driveline, axles, outer tie rod ends, ball joints, rear axle u joints, exhaust, and two new fiber glass fenders. plus snow and road tires and a parts car…. only thing im concerned about now is gas mileage any one know what the later model 1600 cc engine gets fuel mileage

    I wouldn't pay 1200 for a 1976 car if it was gold-plated.

1200 seems high for a 1976 subaru. btw its not an outback they didn't make them that early. its probably a 4×4 wagon.

google 1976 subaru and you will find more info.

old subaru's are good cars, but i recommend getting one a little newer.

if you want an old subaru 4×4 look for a brat or a wagon with the hi/lo transfer case.

    hope this helps

go to the link and learn more about it…

The outback/legacy 30th year anniversary was in 1999, so that your 4×4 outback probably (first made) is 1969…but back then it may not call as an outback.
