4X4 pick up truck tire size?

ok I am looking into buying a new 4X4 pickup truck I have a option of p275/65Rx18 or p275/55r20. What will the 2" do for me? I only drive on road. Will the tires last longer? Is it worth 00

What size are your rims… if they are 18" then you need the tire to match the rim. 275 is the width of the tire, middle number is the percentage of the width and is the side wall height and the last number is the size of the rim, you can't change that unless you buy new rims. The first tire had a 65 sidewall with 18" rim, the second has a 55 and a 20" rim…both tires side by side would be almost exactly the same size…only difference being the centre hole for the rim.
And they will not last any longer.

the r18 is a smaller rim than the r20 the r20 will have a smaller look at tire prcing on the 2 sizes listed… you'll see a difference!!!
