If you are buying one that is 3 or 4 years old yes they still have a lot of life in them. But if you plan to buy an older one say 1994 to 2005 you better look real good. I bought one and the body looked real good motor ran good transmission ok . Then I went to put tires on brake lines leaking had to replace all of them. Wheel cylinders were leaking, Frame mount for leaf spring was rusted away, And as I was replacing all these parts The guy at NAPA said he bought a 1998 and replaced all the same stuff. Then I stopped and looked at a 1996 a couple weeks ago and after getting under it I seen the same problems. I paid $ 1200 for the truck and put $ 700 in it already and see another $ 500 yet to do. And that is me doing the work my self if The local repair shop did this about $ 2200 Good luck and double check

Buy a Chevy!!! ford transmissions suck, from the people i know and friends who had a ford the transmission died all of them, over 4 and 3 of them owned by mechanics. Chevy’s have better built transmissions.

you like em and that’s all that counts.

I have seen some decent ones and like the other fella , I’m a Chevy man

They can be maintained to be as good as a new rig

Pretty much so; you still see them on the highways from the ’80’s
