is there any option available to convert a two wheel drive tata safari to four wheel drive?
if yes, where can i get it done and how much money will it involve? also is it a viable and safe option, i mean guarantee or problems?

on ANY car that would require replacement of the entire drive train (except the actual engine)

i have a cheaper alternative for you – but it might be problematic with a manual transaxel

convert to dual-engine. add an entire second drive train and link them

if everything is running perfectly, the syncing will work, but if either engine changes performance it messes everything up

added bonus – double the HP and Torque
down side: lower mileage and complex maintenance

super bonus – its way cool

sell the two wheeled drive and buy the 4 by 4 . ask the local dealer for buy back and you may be able to drive a good bargain.
    makes more sense.
remember modifications done at the plant are done buy high tech robots and therefore are much better.

Dear friend, converting your TATA safari from 4×2 to 4×4 is possible in theory, but a lot of high precision works, fabrication ,welding ,electrical works have to be carried out to the car which would prove very expensive. The better options would be to have a LSD( limited slip differential) with a manual lock system, fitted and always consult with the your dealer, or a dealer recommended agency who can carry out such works, also you could change the tyres to better ones suited for more off roading,to have the extra grip and traction,

if you dont want go thru all the pain, better trade in your safari, and get a new 4×4 safari.
