It sounds like you either a dirty fuel filter or a defective electric fuel pump. Change the fuel filter, make sure you fill it with as much fuel as possible. On the front of the engine by the thermostat housing there should be a brass "t" fitting for bleeding the fuel system, or on top of the fuel filter itself a small 1.5" plastic bleed fitting. open either one and turn on the ignition, the electric pump should bleed out all of the air, close the bleeder and wipe up as much of the fuel as possible. If the electric pump is bad you will get no fuel and the truck will most likely not start. The electric fuel pump is located along the driver side frame rail, it looks like a metal inline fuel filter with a wire coming out of it. It is real easy to change.Good luck,

its probably loosing it prime on the fuel pump and having to re prime its self, you may need to have a pump pressure test done on it to see how much pressure its actually holding, that or the fuel filter is getting really stopped up on it,it probably needs a new pump on it to get it right again, good luck with it.
