Dodge and GMC owners HELP!?

I'm 16 years old and am getting my first truck. Either my dads 1997 GMC 1500 4×4 with a 5.7L engine and an off road package and 100,000 miles…..OR….My grandpa's 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4×4 SLT Laramie with a 5.9L engine and 65,000 miles. They both really nice trucks with no damage at all. The reviews ive read put them about dead even so i can't make up my mind. I'm a ford man so i really don't know which one is better. Any info is appreciated.

either one of those would be good trucks but if it were me i guess id have to choose the dodge,they last good and the newer ones seem to be holding up a lot better,the Chevy's are nice trucks and will probably get a few more miles to the gallon than the dodge will,but me id choose the dodge because of the low mileage,and the year of it,good luck.
GMC is more luxurious and better looking but Dodge has less miles on it.

Be careful I hate to tell you this but Dodges sometimes have transmission problems. I personally would pick the Gmc over the Dodge Ram
