Does anyone here own the 2010 Chevy Equinox in any trim? Please provide feedback?
Hello.
I’m torn between the 2010 Chevy Equinox and the 2009 Ford Escape since I am moving to a small town with harsh winters. I know for a fact that the Escape is a reasonable capable vehicle in the winters partly due to it’s 4×4 availability and good ground clearance. I was all set to get one….
Then out of the blue Chevy hits a home-run with the new 2010 Equinox. So far, the reviews I’ve had online (critics and owners from insideline.com) have been ecstatic…Though I still would like to hear more from 2010 Equinox owners (I haven’t yet seen many on the road). How do you compare it to others? (I know the Chevy leapfrogs the Asians, but compared to the Escape?) Anyone test-drove the car and compared it to the Escape? I love the new interior, design, and Chevy’s renewed design direction and attention to detail overall…just don’t quite know how it stacks up with the 2009 Escape. I will be in rural-ish area where winters can be quite rough (Timmins, Ontario, Canada).
Any feedback will my greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, folks.
Just to add: fuel consumption isn’t at all my big concern. However, I am very mindful of interior/exterior fit/finish, durability, reliability, and of course the ability to handle snow.

I don’t own one but with a 32 mpg highway rating for a non-hybrid (which gets better than the Ford Escape Hybrid). I’d go for the Chevy!
no, but i would go with the 2010 equinox over any other SUV in its class. it gets better MPG then the ford escape hybrid. they are supposed to be good cars, do go ahead and get urself one
go with the ford escape, I have one and it is fantastic. My daughter has the equifax and has had a lot of problems with it including electrical.
