Has anyone received any postive results from installing a throttle body spacer on their Dodge Truck?

I have a 2001 Dodge ram 4×4 single cab V8 318 engine. I am just wondering since I have heard mixed reviews on these, but figure since my mpg is so horrible I might as well try anyways. Right now, my average MPG based on 5 fillups is 12.55 (ouch).

TB spacers wotn do nothing to your MPG. they have been proven to work on carburators and earlier fuel injection where the fuel was injected in to the TB. the purpose of the spacer was to mix the fuel and air more before it went in to the combustion chamber.

where as now fuel is injected right in to the chamber. so everyone I have seen dyno those show no increse in HP or increase in fuel mileage. dont waste your money on those TB spacers.

if your getting 12 MPG with a 5.2. then you might want to look down your TB and see if you see a lot of oil down there. if you do its your belly pan gasket blown and happends alot on the 5.2 and the 5.9. this will give you poor mileage. also have you changed your plugs wires and rotors. also do you have a check engine light ? a bad cat can cause poor mileage also.

so check that first and then if you havnet changed the plugs and such. then you might want to do that too. but other than that its a V-8 and they are not know for great gas mileage lol.
