has anyone run filtered used transmission fluid in their diesel pickups?

I have heard of a person burning filtered used transmission fluid in his diesel pickup and I want to know if anyone else has heard of this or tried it

    I’ve read about people doing this but you have to watch the mix.. most run this in older diesels that on Fords are pre powerstroke as gumming up the injectors on one of these puppies is $300/each

    But I’ve heard about people running straight filtered ATF though

    the only thing that the trans fluid does is help keep the diesel fuel from gelling up in cold weather you only use a quart in the tanks.Canadians use this mostly,because of the colder weather…

    yes i have heard of it. you must have two tanks because the atf takes alot of heat to start. he would switch over to it as the truck was running then switch back a few minutes before he would shut the truck off
