Look for Dash for 4 X 4 sign or switch.

I think all Jeeps are 4×4 a look underneath will show or on the dash for a switch to turn on and off 4×4

Just look under the jeep and see if the front has a axle assemby like the back does, then it will be a 4X4

    1. It would say 4×4 on the car on the trunk or on the side.

    2. You would have some knob or shifter in the car that says 4L, 4H, 2H, 2L or something like that.

Well there’s many ways to tell if it 4wd or not. One way is to look for the buttons that sometimes show up on the dash. But like my moms old Jeep she had a shifter next to the automatic shifter which you’d use to put it into 4wd. If you want to even deeper into it, you can look underneath the vehicle to see if it has a front and rear differetial and also a driveshaft.

Drive it into a mudhole, if you get stuck real fast it is not a 4×4.

Look underneath the truck. If it has a front drive axle, it’s a 4×4,

I believe all Liberty models are 4×4. The only Jeep models which are not are the new Compass and Patriot ( which are FWD in the base models and have AWD as an option ).
