how do i replace power steering pump on 1982 gmc 2500 diesel pickup?

i just bought a 1982 GMC 2500 diesel 3/4 ton pickup, the power steering pump is blown and i would like to replace it without putting it into a shop, so other then bracket bolts, how do i remove and replace the pump, the reservoir is in good condition so i only have to replace the power steering pump, please give me instructions and a diagram if needed. please help, its really hard to steer until i replace it. please email me soon

    take it off the bracket and remove the pressure line going from it to the steering box and remove the fill tube to your reservoir. Then reinstall making sure you use new o-rings or sealing rings when installing pressure line. To find where the bolts might be go buy the new one and look on it, thats what I did. If no pulley you need a pulley remover kit, sometimes these are pressed on.

    Replace the ENTIRE unit.
    Trying to fiddle-fart around with replacing only the pump is a waste of time.to save $21.

    Get a Chilton Manual. If you are asking questions on how to change the power steering pump you will definitely need a Chilton Manual.
