How much oil and how much freon in a new a/c unit on a 97 silverado 4×4 350ci?

Just put on a new a/c compressor on a 97 silverado 4×4 350ci. The new unit came with 1.5 oz of oil already installed, how much more oil, and how much freon does this unit take? No auto parts places i have asked can tell me, dumbass’s. I vacuumed the system, and replaced the orifice tube too.

There should be a factory sticker under the hood near the accumulator/dryer or on the blower housing under hood.

If memory serves it is around 2.15 or 2.25 lbs of r-134 A (Which is refrigerant and not freon).

    Now……….

You have replaced the compressor, did you replace the dryer? if not then any issues related to the warranty on this new compressor will be voided when and if you have a problem.
