How to lift a Toyota Tacoma?

I'm looking at buying a 2006 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab. I want to know how I can add a little height to it so its looks a little more like a 4X4 or the prerunner. In my opinion the car looks a little "soft" right now because it rides so low. I'm not looking for some big jacked up truck just a little lift. Can I accomplish this by just buying bigger tires or do I actually have to lift it? I'm only looking for about 2 or 3 inches.

if the truck has the low end stock tires you can upgrade them or you get into spending alot on a lift for a truck that cant go anywhere if you like going off highway i suggest the 4×4 it wont dissapoint you problem solved they rule im getting my fith one
