I bought a 79 chevy pickup 4×4 basket case. Where can I get missing parts?

I am missig the cover plate at the bottom of the bellhousing. It is a 350 with a 4spd standard transmission. What is it called and where can I get one?

    The cheapest way, by far, is to get them from other 1979 Chevy pickups. You knew that, right?

    You can actually make money by buying a 2nd 1979 Chevy pickup, and selling everything you /don’t/ want one piece at a time. You’ll get your parts for free plus you’ll probably have $500 extra when it’s all over.

    You might try lmctruck.com. It stands for Long Motor Company and they make almost any part you could ever need for restoring or repairing a pickup. They are located in lenexa kansas but will ship to you.

    i always just called it a torque converter dust shield. you really dont need that thing. i been a offroader for the past 8 years with a few different trucks and never had one on
