I find this quite rediculous.?
OK. First off let me state that I am not in the military, nor have I ever been in the military. I am posting this question here because it pertains somewhat to the military.
I want to purchase a Polaris Defense MVRS700, both the 4×4 version and the 6×6 version. This is what an MVRS700 is:

So, upon talking directly to the representative of Polaris’ military and governmental business, he specifically stated: "We regret to inform you that Polaris Defense can only sell Polaris vehicles and accessories to authorized military or government procurement offices."
Please, hear me out. It’s just a truck. A simple vehicle. There are no mounted weapons, no fancy laser targeting devices, no special 007 missles behind the headlights, no tear gas that gets released from the license plate; it’s just a God damn truck. Not even that! It’s a GOLF CART!
There has to be a way I can purchase this. I am a customer! I will pay with CASH! Full ammount! I don’t understand what is so special about a simple GOLF CART that it can only be sold to the military! WTF
I apologize. I just find this absolutely absurd. What is your guys’ take on it? Why do you think they can only sell those to the military?

They probably have a "Military Only" contract on these certain kinds of vehicles. If they sold them to civilian then they wouldnt be unique to the military. Sounds stupid, but that is more than likely the reason. You would think they would sell them to anybody to make more money, but when you have a contract with the government then there is no way to get around it until the contract is up. I would say to look for a different company or version of this model.
It is a MILITARY VEHICLE. Are you military? NO, therefore you can’t have one. Get over it!

Its almost as if the military doesn’t want random people purchasing the same equipment they are using. Why not buy a thermal scope too, its not like it has a rifle attached to it, right?

There may be some service-specific modifications to it. I’m just guessing. Just buy the nearest civilian version.
