What ever saves you cash at the pump is considered a mileage saver. Recently, gas prices have risen dramatically and unfortunately, they show no signs of stopping any time soon. Keep the following tips and suggestions in mind and you will keep your gas tank, and your wallet, fuller. Saving money on gasoline is easy. Make a plan before you leave home.
Combining several trips will conserve gas. Plan your route ahead of time. If your destinations are close to one another you can plan to do them together. Do one errand on the way to the next. Organizing a carpool with co-workers will save everyone money. The more people riding in your car, the bigger the savings. Save gas mileage with these tips and keep even more money in your pocket.

Taking a look at your driving habits can result in savings on gas. Do you slam on the brakes when stopping? Both stopping and accelerating too quickly use more gas. Accelerate smoothly and coast between traffic signals at intersections. Of course we can’t make the lights behave the way we want, but we can control the car. Coasting is especially useful for city driving and you will use less gas.

But you can get better gas mileage on the highway too. Drive the speed-limit. And use your cruise control on long trips. This cuts down on fuel. Driving at the consistent speed that you set on the cruise control will become better gas mileage on your trip. Cruise control can save you even more when used on long trips. Does the speed limit really help? Yes! Though posted for the safety of drivers, sticking to the speed limit will also save you gas mileage. Your auto must work much harder to maintain higher speeds. The engine’s efficiency falls off dramatically at speeds greater than 65 MPH. Resisting the urge to speed will keep you safer and save you money too! Remove trash and keep your car cleaner to save gas mileage
If you want to increase your Car Mileage up to 60% there is a way, and It doesn,t cost more then a tank of Gas that’s the funny part and a Kid could install it click on the link in the source below and get more information I actually installed it in my car and it works great.

I recently got a 95 Tahoe 4X4. At first it was making only 12 miles to the gallon.
I first fixed all the vacuum leaks. Used carburetor cleaner to spay around vacuum lines to find and fix all the leaks.
Next replaced all the plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor. Its best to only use AC Delco parts. I never have had much luck with aftermarket ignition parts lasting very long.
After doing this my milage went up to 16 mpg.

I have a 1997 silverado also an doin Wat the last guy said with the plugs, wires etc really helps, but on top of that on your next fill up put a full bottle of sea foam from Walmart or parts store in an you can see a huge difference then after tank is almost empty start using Lucas gas treatment on every fill up doin all this keeps system clean an lubed up and helps with the poor quality gas you may get from a gas station. Then there’s upgrading your air intake an exhaust for air flow. An most of all my truck seems to be worst on gas after half a tank so if you can keep it at half or higher
