Wife likes Ranger, Frontier, /Tacoma (yeah ok)/; We love trucks but i’m thinking a 4wd CRV will do to pull our small boat. Cheap and reliable 4×4. Thanks in advance.

pre 2004 dodge dakota with 3.9 v6 if you can find one get a 5-speed if nto the autos are ok but I wouldn’t go back any further than 2001. My dad gets 20 mpg out of his and he’s been a Dakota guy since 87
Dude, jeeps are pretty reliable and SOME are fuel effcient.
It shouldn’t be hard to find one under 5,000 unless you’re looking for a really new one.
find an old reliable diesel 4×4, your choice ford, chevy, or dodge. older diesels can get over 20 mpg and are great for towing.
we have owned an 85 k10 for over 13 years and it still runs strong and gets over 22mpg hwy.(it will tow up to 8,000 lbs)
a used toyota tacoma most reliable trucks in the world
right now I have a tacoma with 41,000 miles proven to be reliable
