I want to start an off road accessory store…how do I get a low cost supplier?

I want to start a business with my father. We want to sell Jeep and other 4×4 accessories. I would like to create a website were you can buy ou products. I will obviously need to have a supplier that sells me shocks and winches etc. for a price that will allow me to make a profit. I would like to buy generic products and affix our name and logo to them. Any ideas? Thanks a ton!
I am not asking where I can buy parts for my Jeep…JC Whitney is a nice magazine…but my point is tat I want to be the next JC Whitney per say. JC whitney gets shocks from someone in china and puts a Rancho sticker on it with their permission and sells it. I want to put my sticker on it and sell it. Where do I get them?

Try looking on supplier directory sites, like http://www.thomasnet.com and contacting suppliers directly (by finding their name on boxes). You could also use a site like http://www.whyabe.com which will allow you to create a "Request for Proposal" in which you could specify what you are looking to buy, and suppliers would then respond with their pricing if they are interested.

You should try a whole sellerr and work out a possible deal to help you get started. Once you get going you can adjust terms over time by buying in bulk if things go well.
