Is the GMC Acadia suitable to endure harsh snowy winters?

Reviews of the Acadia/Outlook/Traverse/Onclave do not evaluate the abilities of these large CUVs to handle harsh snow. I’ll be moving to Timmins, ON, Canada where winters are quite harsh and wanted to get ready for it this year. Once equipped with snow tyres, would the Acadia be able to handle snow? It does not have a 4×4 system, just FWD or an AWD. Any members who owned these during winters, your feedback would be most appreciated.

I have a 2008 Acadia SLT AWD. I live in western Pennsylvania & although our winters might not be as bad as yours, it still gets bad here. I have not had any problems with getting around in my Acadia. I love it!!!

I always order AWD or 4 wheel drive on all my vehicles. You will need it one day.
