Neither the tail lights, brake lights or backup work on Chevy pickup 4×4?

The rear lights don’t work on a 1990 Chevy pickup 4×4. I have checked the fuses and circuit board on the right hand side. Anyone have any ideas as to what else I should look for?
Thank you,
Tom

You may want to double check your fuses first, either with a continuity light across the fuse or just swap another fuse into light circuit and see if that helps.

After fuses, the next thing I’d check is the wiring harness in the rear. Slide under the truck with a flashlight and visually follow the wires from the tailights forward, there may be a connector unplugged or, if it’s been wired for trailer lights, there may be splices that are failing. The latter is less likely because all lights are inoperative, but still possible.

I have a 98 chevy truck and my lights on rear passenger side kept going out. I went to auto parts store and bought the lighting kit that the plug-in hooks to and put all new lights in it and haven’t had any problems since. Hope this helps.
