I drove one for a while, horrible gas mileage, very poor quality of fit and finish throughout. I liked the size, its not a huge vehicle, easy to park and maneuver. There are better vehicles in this segment.

I have a 2005 Liberty Limited. Love everything about it except gas mileage. I probably average 16-17 mpg. Have had no problems with it otherwise.

I would have to say be careful with the Jeep Libertys especially that year. My ant has one and it's the same year and everything but hers is a standard. Well she has taken hers back to the dealer 5 times because something kept going wrong with the transmission so I would have to say I hope it's an automatic because otherwise your going to have problems.

Not a good choice all things considered.
Poor quality and fuel economy is below average.
You can do better with your money.

I own a '05 Liberty Limited 4x4 Trail Rated(automatic,6 cyl.),with 79,000 miles on it so far...no mechanical problems so far....it starts right up in cold weather,Its been in the teens *F(degrees) here lately) ,engine warms up rather quickly when in neutral,I park it outside....
I find it to be rather rough riding, comfort wise, even in 2 wheel drive, but it is easy to drive and handle,so its worth a little discomfort...
I get about 18 mpg too so it could do better there, but I am happy with it overall...
