that the clutch is fine. i had been shfting with no clutch for a little while and then the cluth came back. now im stuck in neutral and cant shift into any gears. im not sure if its a transmisson problem or a clutch problem.

98 jeep wrangler with a 2.5 ltr 5 speed.
I drove on the interstate this morning and didn't really notice a severe change to the response in power. however this evening on my way to a club, i couldn't get over 60 mph. with the exception of the lower gears 3000rpms is dificult to acheive. [...]

purchased a 1980 chevy 4×4 pickup 2yrs ago and have been restoring it ever since. Now I'm almost ready to register it and it must pass smog before doing so. Part of the requirements are catalytic converters…. is mine exempt? Have changed motor, trans, rear gears drive line, bed….not much is original.
