    If its a 4.0 liter motor the 97 used a TF999 model automatic. The 2.5 had a TF904.
    The torqueflite trannys were all renamed at some point, I’m not sure when – the 999 became the 32RH and the 904 became the 30RH. I’d use the RH numbers, because they were probably changed before 1997, I’m just not sure.

    If you’re looking for a diagram to rebuild it I’d go to e-bay and get a 1997 Factory Service Manual – they are very technical and will help tremendously. You should be able to find one for $25 – $50.
