What’s the biggest size tire can I fit on a 9″ lifted 2000 3door Chevy Silverado 1500 4×4?

I'm buying a 6" skyjacker suspension kit and a 3" body lift for my truck, but don't know what size tire I can fit under it.

Thanks for the Help!

Thats hard to say…. you should find a chevy truck forum to ask other owners who have lifted trucks.

Theres a kid I work with that has 35's on his chevy with a 6 inch lift. but he could have probably gone bigger.

You plan on re-gearing that thing after you put bigger tires on it?

you can fit 40's but i wouldn't go that high maybe 36 or 38's would be more reasonable

Look at the manufacteur recomendations is the best answer for the suspension lift and then add a inch to 1.5 inches for the body lift. You will need to regear. Of course a lot of this depends on your driving and if you are willing to trim fenders. I mostly deal with 73-87 body stlye but it all depends on your wants. I had 35's with a 4" and i had 35's with a 6" For my playing i had trim fenders with both. If you are just mall cruising then you can get a lot bigger of a tire. If you are wanting to play hard then find a sfa from a ford and swap in. The dana 44 will take six lug hubs from a chevy dana 44 or 10 bolt. With the ford axle your differential will be one the correct side for your truck and not have to do a t-case swap. It all depends on what you want to do.

I would go with 36's as they will allow more travel to the suspension than 38's.

ok first i would recomend that u do not excede 38 inches. bigger then that and police can issue u tickets. atleast in illinois, (trust me i would know).
but iff u really wanna know how huge u can go first measure from the center of the wheel to the closest part of the fender. multiply that by 2. that is the very mavumum u could fit.

however u would have no clearence for movement so i would recomend taking 3-6 inches off of the total number.
stiffin up your shocks and suspencion, and u should do fine.
