Welcome to "inside the tank" my friend…Before you go yanking the gas tank, see if lifting the bed of the truck is an option..I like to do it that way in most cases because your not hoisting down a gas tank full of gas and breaking rotted gas tank brackets. (Watch your ground wires when your lifting the bed up too. there is a couple of them.) And also be gentle with the sending unit, because these are prone to rusting and breaking when you remove them, and they are not exactly cheap to replace…Good Luck!!
