I am a catastrophe adjuster and I have to drive to heavily damaged areas with debris and rocks and what not. Since I can’t drive my bmw car there I am needing to know a good 4×4 SUV that is affordable as an extra car. Im looking to spend ,000 or less.

THE OLDEST JEEP YOU CAN FIND. Get a military model. pre 1965. Second choice would be one of the little tanks we lent to the British for the African campaign in W W 2. M3 I think. The British called them Honeys or something like that.

Jeep or my favorite, Suburban K2500 8.1L w/6" lift, 35" tires. Chevy has more power and mpg than counterparts.

if this is just for your work, get a 2 door, your probably wanting something new with efi and auto and dont have to work on it so i would say bet a 92-96 ford bronco and take it to 4 wheel parts and have them put some new stuff on it, all bushings, a little lift, locking diffs(a MUST if you want to leave pavement) some grippier tires, and probably heavy duty bumpers and maybe a winch… you MIGHT spend 12500 but it all depends on what you start with… all i can say is dont go stock, but good used and imrove, unless you spend a little more and get a new toyota land cruiser the FJcruiser. that thing is ready from the showroom.
