Which hot accessory wire do I splice into when installing a Warn RT25 winch onto a 2008 Honda Rancher 420 4×4?

I just want to know a specific color wire that has been known to work only with the key on…and also, where did you splice it (i.e. near the handlebars or closer to the connector box?

Thank you very much.
"The relay is operated by any hot wire on the quad."
That is exactly what I’m asking…I need the color of a hot wire to hook the relay too.
Everything else is done…I just don’t want to use the wrong wire.
–Found it! For anyone else that might run into this…
Use the pink wire that comes from the ignition switch. There’s a black sleeve around 4 or so wires and the pink one lets the winch only work when the key is on.

Black has power when the key is turned to on.
The winch draws so many amps that the wire will not be able to handle it.
Do not connect the winch directly to that wire – can cause a fire.
That is why Warn winches come with a relay.
The winch motor goes to the relay – the relay goes to the battery with thick gauge wires.
The relay is operated by any hot wire on the quad.
